It looks like there has been a change in my mud-puddle culture. Most of the larger ciliates and micro-animals have vanished. They are replaced by very small organisms including two or three types of very small protists and bacteria-sized organisms that don't behave like bacteria. If anyone knows what these are, I'd love your expertise.
