My friend has an array of potted plants in the family room. The decorative plants are growing in potting soil. As time goes on the houseplants go through the cycle of growth and decay within the pots. I did notice that the plants that have died appear to be hosts for other organisms which appear to grow on the dead plant material. I wanted to see if I could photograph the biologically interesting organisms growing on the decaying plants. What I saw were light-colored beads that seem to be growing on the dead leaves of the hosts. I had to crush the specimens to proceed. But I still found what looked like some kind of organism consuming the remains of the decayed hosts. The organisms feeding on the decaying houseplants are spherical in shape,
