Inside the Green Pepper's Bones

#1 Post by DonSchaeffer » Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:43 pm

The crunchy part of the green pepper is a shell that we enjoy in salads. Inside the shell is a kind of skeleton consisting of foamy tissue which supports a lot of the life functions of the plant. The shell is crunchy and crisp. Since the fruit of the plant is hollow, the inside is like a (more or less) rigid skeleton that supports its shape. The skeleton contains a kind of circulatory system. Fluids that run through vessels in the skeleton include small circular bodies that appear to move or vacillate inside it.
