Fresh Batch of Hatchlings

#1 Post by DonSchaeffer » Sun Feb 05, 2023 7:42 pm

The title is (of course) not valid. These things don't hatch. One way or another they appear in the world fully formed. I just added some new water to a jar partly filled with grass and weeds. There are a lot of small protists, many look very well organized, like tiny Eukarya.

The organism beginning around 1:10 appears to be a Euglenoid. I can see a flagellum, and its shape and movement look similar to various euglenoids in my samples.
