Cells in Discarded Leaves

1. Discarded Leafy Material
I soaked some material left as leaves were disintegrating in the garden suspecting that I might find microbes. The outlines of the original cell walls were clearly visible but I found no evidence of living organisms. Motion in floating particles appeared to be due to Brownian motion effects.

2. Cell Motion Experiment. Cell material from Leaves.
I soaked some dead leaves from the garden to test the hypothesis that microbes were feeding on them. Results were negative. I only found particles moving because of Brownian effects.
