I was checking early videos I had captured from my DIC microscope and this was the very first.
It was poorly lit etc but I had no clue what I had recorded. After all this time (years) I finally saw the same image in *The ponds of Simmelried"
a wonderful book made by world experts in the field.
It turns out that this was an intermediate amoeba described as a missing link in the book. Quite remarkable.
I accidentally found anintermediate amoeba
Re: I accidentally found anintermediate amoeba
Nice video and good information.
It's indeed a wonderful book for indentifing organisms, with beautiful photos.
On the website www.arcella.nl you will find more information !
