Hello Michael,
It could be, but it's a bit too small :-)

Nice one! Those are hard to clean and mount. Where'd you find it?

This is a permanent slide with cover glass.
This radiolaria is about 0.2 mm.

Beautiful, elegant microscopy...thank you, ADi. Reminds me of 1934 comic evil villain/ nemesis of heroic Flash Gordon. I can see 'merciless Ming's helmet as your radiolarian.

Can you give the source for radiolarian 'frustule' ? Can you give the objective used for these beautiful images?

I have been quite pleased with purchase of radiolarian, and diatom fixed slides from Stefano Barone, Italy. Stefano always cautioned me not to use high magnification objectives..as the thickness of radiolarian slides

are a terrible clash/ risk of shattering due tight working distances of many higher magnification objectives. Thank you for this beautiful microscopy ADi, charlie g

Hello Charlie,
The radiolarian in the photo is from the slide
of Lieder 703d https://files.lieder.de/en/K32E-Alle-ww.pdf.
I usually take photos of radiolarians
with the Nikon Plan Apo 20x / 0.75
and the Olympus UMPlanFl 50x / 0.80.
Both have a working distance of 1mm.
Best, ADi
