Tardigrada

#1 Post by microplan » Fri Oct 06, 2023 8:27 pm

Hello.

I found this Tardigrade in a portion of wet moss from my garden.
I also kept the moss in a glass container with water for about 1 hour.
After this time, I drained the sample and started searching.
Here's the result.
Unfortunately, I have the impression that my YouTube video is of lower quality than the original.

Regards
Maciej

On my iPad … the YouTube quality defaulted to 360p, but was easily changed to HD where it looks much better.

Sorry, I don’t post on YouTube so have no idea how/if you can change the setting.

Hi MichaelG.

All videos that I post on You Tube are recorded in 1920x1080 resolution.
That is, Full HD.
And I transfer it to YT in this resolution.
But the transfer of this video took as long as 40 minutes.
Perhaps this is why, in my opinion, the quality of the video on YT is significantly worse than the file I have saved on HD.
This was the first time I encountered such a phenomenon.
I don't think I'll experience that again.

Regards
Maciej

Youtube re-processes all video's that are uploaded onto their site, even if you render using their recommended settings. Because of that, all videos are shown as low-resolution (340p) videos immediately after upload, regardless of the resolution you upload at. One youtube reprocesses the video, it can then be watched at higher resolutions, including your original 1080P upload. I'm seeing your video in HD, so conversion is complete.

Pretty nice capture!

Hello SuiGenerisBrewing.

In fact, the quality of my clips improved significantly after some time.
In my opinion it's OK now.
Thanks for explaining the process of processing video resolution by YT algorithms.
Now I won't be so impatient.
And finally, thank you for your nice opinion about my video. :)

Regards
Maciej
