Vorticella from my jar

#1 Post by microplan » Mon Feb 19, 2024 12:46 pm

Hello

Another old video extracted from the vast archive on my hard drive.
It shows a small community of Vorticella ciliates (I think).
What is amazing to me is their synchronization and the speed at which their flagella contract.
If I remember correctly, I used an oblique light.
Lenses: 12.5x and 25x.
CZJ Jenaval microscope.

Regards
Maciej

Very nice. Definitely looks oblique to me.
