A set of videos from a marine sampe from the Gulf of Thailand
Here are some videos I've made this past week looking inside a marine sample from mangroves alongside the Gulf of Thailand, south of Bangkok. I'm including a clip showing the location.
Mangroves alongside the Gulf of Thailand
Marine Nassula
Marine Beggiatoa (sulfur bacteria) - much fatter than the fresh water Beggiatoa I've filmed before
Marine Forams (empty Foram tests - slideshow of stacked images)
Marine Trachelocerca feeding - dark field - Similar to how Lacrymaria feed
Marine Bivalve Veligers (the final larval stage of bivalves -- note: some may have reached the Pediveliger stage)
Ceratium - a beautiful marine Dinoflagellate with two flagella
Marine Benthic Foraminifera - Alive - Not a lot of pseupodial activity but some nonetheless - phase contrast and bright field
