This plant growing in the lawn has a deep textured surface with a lot of hair-like projections. The cells are complex. The leaf also exudes chemical fumes which cloud the microscope image with close exposure, so high magnifications do not make clear images. I exposed the microscope objectives to chemical exposure from the leaves and the objectives had to be carefully cleaned.
