Test of a sample from some iridescent Scarab and Chafer beetles in Lucite blocks
B&L Sterio Zoom set to 2x with 2x adapter on Canon EOS 7D

The dark color reminds me of the bess beetle, so dark and shinny the one I have I was never able to obtain a real good photo.
Speaking of lucite, I have a huge luber in lucite.
