Loxophyllum meleagris

#1 Post by rnabholz » Fri Dec 02, 2016 5:11 am

Playing around with a sample pulled from my little pond water aquarium when I came across this fellow, a first for me. I believe it to be Loxophyllum meleagris, happy to be corrected if not.

AO Ten, Ortho Illuminator, 20x Plan Achro, Toric Darkfield Condenser, afocal using a Nexus 6 phone

Just a change of pace to run out the new condenser, I think it is looking good.

The 70D is willing, it's owner was too lazy to set it up. But really, the advantage the camera offers over the phone is not as much of an issue on video, in fact the phone is 4k capable.

Thanks

Rod

Good catch - I find these very rarely hold still for any length of time - ideal subjects for video :)

Thanks 75, I did have to chase him around the slide for a time until he seemed to start foraging in this area.
