A dark field Cheshire cat smile!

#1 Post by charlie g » Mon Dec 19, 2016 12:46 am

Hi all forum folk...using DF, I plesantly encountered what I sensed was a Cheshire cat hanging upside down to smile at me!

maybe a faux spirulina smoothie? great dental work but needs a little whitening to meet 2016's expectations. ever notice how everyone has a caricature smile these days. the chesire cat's pearlies would be second rate on any street in any town.

A few sets of teeth may be interesting to look at under the stereo scope, I could pull out a few lower jaw if that is ok??

Hi,Phil, now that you mention the green hue of this DF cats teeth...I recall writings... a sort of inside look at late Chairman Mao's life style..he is reported to have had green stained teeth..and when prompted to brush better..the powerful chairman would state: 'tigers do not brush their teeth'...humm.

DF often places me in a speculative state on just what illumination realms the worlds I observe for hours at a time..what illumination qualities these reactive protists and meiofauna are naturally experiencing. I often notice mobile organisms take humbrage and scatter from BF blasts...some time I should use a night vision device to see if protists behaviors markedly different in low light regime vrs usual BF blast. charlie guevara (these desmids greens so similar to the pesto mix I enjoy on pasta with fetta cheese!

Very nice picture, Charlie, although I wish it were larger. Very well exposed, too, something I find difficult to do in darkfield.
