codepod (I think) with an egg sac.
She was found in a salt marsh in Brooklyn, NY. 100x, 0.4 mm. This is my first contribution to this forum.

Great! I hope to see more from your scope sessions. Yes, looks like a copepod! 100X? Do you mean a 10x objective with 10x eyepieces? What microscope are you using?

I am using an Olympus BH2, a Nikon D5 II, and 10x and 10x. Thanks for your encouragement.

Nice image, Crusty, thanks for the specifics of this crusteaceans habitat. You will find all sorts of meiofauna and protists in your salt marsh...hope you can visit that salt marsh again soon.
I grew up in Elmhurst/Queens...Crossbay Blvd past that section of salt marshes in: Howard Beach...and onto to 'The Rockaways'...we gulp swam off 116th street board walk...and played handball serious money games with the older Italian handball stars... and drank beer at :"The Irish Circle"...your current microscopy has resonance for me, Crust! I guess Hurricane Katrina totally mixed up those salt marshes.
