Copepod Naupilus (Image added!)

#1 Post by hkv » Mon May 15, 2017 8:54 pm

Found this one in a water sample which I have "prepared" with Glutaraldehyde. Obviously also worked on the Naupilus because he was no longer moving so I managed to get a good stack. Previous attempt photographing these have been very tricky due to frequent movement.

20X objective, DIC. Stack of 54.

Very nice image.
I assume the glutaraldehyde is a narcotising agent?

Yes, except that the narcotising effect is permanent, eternal...
