Sample from the petri dish

#1 Post by Crater Eddie » Mon Feb 05, 2018 12:00 am

Sometimes I like to take samples and put in a petri dish under bright lights for a week or two. This was a few rocks and flakes of dried "stuff" from last summer's birdbath.

It yielded several hours enjoyable observing this afternoon. Just a small sampling:

Lots of fun on a dreary winter afternoon.

You show us the eukaryotic (Spirogyra algae filament), and prokaryotic (blue green algae species) 'plants' with your culture system, CE, thanks. Charlie guevara
