Like to share more photos taken from the moor described in my article viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6386

Was very enthusiastic to view this kind of nice algea, so I have taken many photos. All done with oblique illumination.

How did you "clear" the algae and exposed the skeleton?
I once mounted a green filamentous alga in cinnamon bark oil (it contains a powerful solvent) and it was rapidly cleared, but not as completely as yours.

Great series, I like them all. No such thing as too many

Both are hot candidates, I researched a bit and found that Euastrum denticulatum shall have spikes at each end, but these are missing one my photo.
Also there are others looking quite similiar, for example So Euastrum binale (TURP.) (https://www.moor-impressionen.at/galeri ... 001611.htm). Really difficult to distinguish.
For the second one Euastrum ansatum looks really very similiar, maybe this guy looks a bit wider then the one I captured? But I also did not found a thinner one

To be honest this was nothing I prepared, the water sample already contained the skeleton
