I used Windows Movie Maker to create a short 3 minute slide show with music showing some of my favourite Crystals viewed with Polarizing microscopy.
You can view the movie on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18DIc8B ... e=youtu.be
If you have a fast connection you can view or download a high quality movie off my web site:

I welcome any comments about the show. Below is a screen shot showing the software and some of my images. The music was Royalty free by a band called cymatics that creates high tech music.
Cheers
RB

Hi Rob,
thank you for posting! I downloaded your high quality version and am very impressed by the quality and beauty of the images.
It is absolutly astonishing how beautiful they are in polarized light.
Crystal microscopy can even be used in scientific research: To identify certain chemical elements the concentration has to be quite high, but the specimens can be very small. In former times prospectors used this method to determine in the field whether it is promising to dig for valuable elements.
If you are interested, I can post some links to detailed explanations about this technique (in german).

Great movie, I'm amazed. Was it done on your Axioscope ?
