Micro-Universe

#1 Post by RobBerdan » Mon Sep 02, 2019 8:36 pm

Can't believe summer is over and I only had a few opportunities to photograph my favourite subject - Pond Life. I just posted two articles 1) The Micro-Universe and 2) Microscopic Pond Life for those that might be interested:

1. https://www.canadiannaturephotographer. ... verse.html
2. https://www.canadiannaturephotographer. ... g2019.html

I have included a couple of movies of ciliates and a pedatory water bear Milenisum tardigradum
Below are a few pictures from my articles - hope you like them. I am presenting the Micro-Universe to various clubs and libraries around Calgary to try and promote microscopy - of course I include many more movies and pictures.

I photographed with a Nikon D500 camera, Digicam control free software, and a Zeiss Axioscope using
DIC, Darkfield, and Polarized light microscopy, using 5, 10, 20 and 40X Plan Acrhomat objectives.
Cheers
