cataract and eyepiece

cataract and eyepiece

i had to have a cataract op,which left perfect vision in that eye,BUT..when i look in an eyepiece,i can see "jelly" clumps at higher magnifications,anyone else have this problem?

Getting the Köehler illumination set ‘just right’ seems to help enormously.
Things have also improved greatly since I started using Nikon CFW 12.5x/16 eyepieces on my 170mm Leitz.

I had similar difficulty but it has cleared up with time. Maybe I just got lucky.

I sympathize. I have cataracts too, but still not bad enough for surgery. Forgive me for this, but I recommend an eyepiece camera connected to you computer--use the monitor and not the eyepiece.
