Colony of Vorticella

Found a colony of Vorticella living on some algae in a container full of crystal clear water inside our vegetable patch. Took this video (much better at 1080p quality if you select it from youtube).

A very interesting and a very good quality video. I have never seen so many Vorticelli together. Is this DIC?

Thank you, have a look at my microscope "My Microscope Build" for Dale Carter, it is near the top as I only just joined recently, more like a DIY microscope :D

Attached a photograph that I took of the Vorticelli apart from the video. Greatly reduced in size but it still captures their magnificence.
