Beautiful Diatoms! Was this picture taken by placing the camera on a tripod and focusing it on the eye-piece? I thought you had mentioned that was one of the methods you used back in the "my microscope" area?

Yes, image was viewed using 40X objective, dark field and the picture was taken using the Leica D-Lux4 mounted on a tripod just in front of one of the BX-41 eyepieces to limit vibration. Even though the D-Lux4 and RX1 are both mirror-less cameras, there's sufficient vibration from the shutter to blur images at higher magnification levels.
