Avatar issues

#1 Post by Crater Eddie » Tue Feb 24, 2015 4:58 am

I created an avatar of my haematococcus and desmid photo earlier today and it worked fine. Now it doesn't show, all I see is a placeholder image... I wonder what happened?

Just uploaded mine. Seems ok.
Just a guess but did you press the arrow (go back) rather than Board index after uploading the avatar?
If you did it might have undone the avatar upload.

Well, now I see it. It seems to depend on which computer I am using to visit the forum. That seems very odd.

Not visible to me! Is your avatar playing favorites?

That's odd. Thanks for letting me know, I'm sure that's a clue to what's going on.

I deleted it and loaded and saved it again. Or at least I tried. I see it, do you?

Yes. I do now. Like haematococcus. Could you not get closer? As in zoom in a bit?

For the avatar? You mean zoom in on the Desmid? Yes, I suppose I could crop it before sizing it down. Might play with that.
