I enjoy the site, of course, but I always thought it odd that there is no opportunity for giving feedback or knowing when you receive it, whether a reply or a like.

Likes are a kind of no-feedback response. Fine for high volume venues like youtube or even facebook, less so for a lower population of more focused hobbyists like microbehunter.
