Amscope MU1000 camera
Amscope MU1000 camera
Anyone using this camera for getting sharp high quality images? Do you know what the highest resolution is and do you have any examples?

Specs available on the web. Could be a half-decent camera for still images - though a used mirrorless camera would likely be better at the same price. Video probably not so much - 10 mega pixels over a USB 2 connection.

I get decent photos with this camera and lousy videos. The frame rate is 28 max. A better camera it the MU 1000HS, with a frame rate of 38. I think it may be the lowest high speed camera Amscope offers.

Pardon me. That's lowest price.
Re: Amscope MU1000 camera
Thank you for the advice and comments. I decided to try it and will hopefully post some pics. I have spent ages trying to find a good camera set up. My Nikon D7500 gets hot when left on the viewfinder mode which I am not keen on as photography is my main hobby. I will probably try to get another adapter and use off the live view, linked to display the computer.
I like the idea of a dedicated camera, I am hoping that I have made the right decision.

It was very low image quality. Impossible to get anything in focus and not as good as my phone. I sent it back. Still on the search for a camera set up.Greg Howald wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 10:59 pmI get decent photos with this camera and lousy videos. The frame rate is 28 max. Sorry. Can't say I had that problem. Of course with some things you really never know what you're going to get.
