Adapter ring for Canon SLR mount to OM system OM1
Adapter ring for Canon SLR mount to OM system OM1
Hi,
I am wanting to know if you fine folks can help me source a good/cheap adapter so I may continue to use my Canon T-adapter with my Olympus OM1 camera.
This is my T mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005O ... le_o02_s00
This is/was my adapter for my Canon M50 Mark II: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2 ... le_o07_s00
Would this adapter allow me to connect my Olympus OM1 to the T mount? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQ ... le_o07_s00
Further more, trying to find out the name of the mounting system that the OM system camera lineup uses.
Thank you all for your continued support!

Sorry, no. That adapter is for using Olympus OM-mount lenses on Canon EOS-M bodies.elaniobro wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 4:53 pmWould this adapter allow me to connect my Olympus OM1 to the T mount? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQ ... le_o07_s00
Hint: OM bodies are DSLR, so space between flange and sensor for mirror;
mirrorless cameras (e.g. Canon M50) have minimal flange-to-sensor spacing.
Adapting mirrorless lens to DSLR body requires optics for infinity focus.
Here is an adapter for OM bodies to T2: https://www.adorama.com/kat2om.html
also https://www.ebay.com/itm/204164177990
Typically called OM mount; I searched using:Further more, trying to find out the name of the mounting system that the OM system camera lineup uses.
Code: Select all
OM-mount
Metaphot, Optiphot 1, 66; AO 10, 120, EPIStar, Cycloptic

A micro four thirds lens mount if it is digital (and current!). Should you wish to experiment, MFT has a short enough flange focal distance for direct (optic-less) projection out of a 1" c-mount camera port – if the microscope has one or can be made to have one.

Thank you both for your reply.
Yes, my camera is the new Olympus OM-1 mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera:

So its not a SLR, AFAIK

Indeed, the current, OM System OM-1 is mirror-less and micro four thirds.

Re: Adapter ring for Canon SLR mount to OM system OM1
Forgive my ignorance, but is T2 the adapter type for the intial link I posted: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005O ... le_o02_s00
If so, then yea, the links you mentioned are what I am looking for!

T2 is a threaded hole, so it should be the same.
