Non parfocality

#1 Post by paulg269 » Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:37 am

Hi I’m having problems with taking photos through my microscope, I focus the image but when the photo is taken it’s out of focus, not by much but I don’t like the result. I use a either Nikon D300 or a D 7100. I’m wondering if rather than use the camera direct if using an HDMI lead to my PC would work better. If so, could someone recommend an image capture program that would work. Thanks,Paul.

Did you check that it really is 'out of focus' ? With digital reflexes (with mirror), you often suffer from vibrations that make the photo out of focus. Especially at higher magnifications.
