Ideal Camera settings

#1 Post by MicroMan2 » Sun Dec 27, 2015 3:50 am

I would just like a general set of settings for the use of cameras like the Canon EOS Rebel so that I could achieve great image quality.

It is hard to give such a general "best" setting as it depends on your subjective's moving speed, amount of light, sensor and lens.

In general, keep iso at 200 or 400, keep lens F number at two stops higher than lowest possible (if it is a F/2 lens, keep it at F/4). If you use flash, then shutter speed does not matter that much (set flash to auto and shutter to auto, select F and iso number). If you don't use flash, then give lots of light and use fastest possible shutter speed that is not dark.
