3d micrographs

#1 Post by microbe fanatic » Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:03 pm

I have been trying to take 3d red/cyan anaglyph photos with a single lens microscope. I have not been successful though.
However, it works with a magnifying glass! I know how to take the photos, I just did not know if anyone has been successful
in this technique using a light microscope. I know it would probably be best to use a stereo-microscope, but I do not have one available. Any advice or suggestions?

To my very limited knowledge, one way to do this with a microscope is to take images for a focus stack, and then use a program, such as Picolay, to stack the images for 3-D (it is capable of giving outputs for either red/cyan or a stereo pair of images).
