For Sale: AmScope 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x Plan Objectives (160/0.17)
For Sale: AmScope 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x Plan Objectives (160/0.17)
For sale: AmScope 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x Plan Objectives (160/0.17) With Knurled Ring
Reason for sale: I have another microscope and don't plan on using these any more
Condition: All objectives are in the same condition I received them in, except for the 20x which has some scratches near the base (the lens is not scratched however).
Price: On AmScope these cost $238.95 currently - I'd like to sell them as a set for $160, and if sold to a forum member I'll throw in free shipping (shipping will be from Hong Kong).
Images: All objectives / Scratches on 20x
Happy to answer any questions and provide more images on request.
Also, since this is my first time selling on here, I'm curious to know how these sales are usually handled. Is eBay the preferred method or would a PayPal invoice suffice?
Cheers

Hi
This is exactly what I am after, would you be interested in trading for an Olympus drawing tube?
The tube is in excellect condition as far as I can tell. Bought from Japan for about $200 a few years ago.

Hi Hakon, I appreciate the offer but I don't have much use for a drawing tube unfortunately. Maybe someone else here might be interested

Re: For Sale: AmScope 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x Plan Objectives (160/0.17)
Hi all! I just signed up here to check this out. I'm new to using objectives for photography, and wanted to ask if you (or anyone else) have used the 20x+ objectives with a camera (I'm using apsc) or can otherwise comment on the useful field of views.
Inspired by https://www.closeuphotography.com/seven ... -objective I have the 4x, and have seen pictures from the 10x elsewhere so have decided to try that one next. My setup is functionally identical to Mr. OTooles; extension, no eyepiece.
I hope to work my way up in magnification eventually and it would be great if these could help in that exploration
Thank you

Thanks for your interest, the field of view jump between the 4x and 10x is quite vast. With a direct setup like that you'll need precise controls (like on a microscope), 10x could be doable on a tripod, but still not ideal. 20x and up I personally wouldn't recommend unless you're directly mounting your camera to a microscope.
Re: For Sale: AmScope 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x Plan Objectives (160/0.17)
I'm wondering if you know how large the useful image circle is on the 20x and up, if it's 27mm+ it would cover the sensor.
I know my setup is not yet ready for such magnifications, but it would be nice to have them in waiting as my skills and setup progress.
Apologies if I'm not using clearer terms. I haven't used a microscope since college
