It shows fern spores in their sporangium under the leaf.

Ah-ha! I got videos of these things firing pollen and wondered what they were! I may have called them "fern springy things".

To give an idea how fluorescence microscopy differs from bright field, I made another picture. This time its bright field using a 16x objective. Much less contrast but more detail. Fluorescence promotes very specific things while depressing others.
