View through each eyepice is not aligned with my B&L sz7. How can I fix this?
Hello all,
I recently attached photoport unit to head of my Bausch and Lomb stereozoom 7. When I inserted mirror using the lever on side of photoport it caused problem, as view from left eyepiece it is significantly moved toward 5 o'clock.
What I think is it caused problem to likely internal objective lens for left eyepiece. I tried to slightly abjust it (pic of internal mechanism is added herein) by manually using fine forceps but inserting photoport keep put back into
same problematic position. Any suggestions to fix this?
*Sorry for my english. It is not my first language and things are not cleary explained here but will try my best.
Thanks.

I did more of inspection and turns out zoom lever is slightly loose and due to it internal objective was placed at somewhat higher than used to be. Things are fine for now I guess.

I have this same setup. The spring-loaded yokes that carry the lenses can be a bit finicky for sure. Say, could you do me a favor? Could take some photos of the photo adapter, particularly the way the mirror is situated on the retractable arm? I have been having alignment issues and while I think I have got it right, the view through the photo port is slightly different than through the eye tube. Specifically, I notice the photo port has a flatter field but less depth of focus.

Hello user BramHuntingNematodes! I didn't know there was reply for this thread.
There was two kinds of problem: 1) zomm lever was very loose; 2) left eyepiece tube was not adjusted (obviously my bad). The view through eye lens is very good to me now.
I will upload pictures of my photoport for you when I got back into my lab next day. However, I have no idea how would I can take photos of placement of mirror parts in microscope head unless I disassemble covers on it.

Oh, just the mirror on the photo adapter would be ideal. My sz7 works very well, especially with those 15x uwf aerial surveillance eyepieces like you have. It's only when looking through the photo port do I see some issues.
Thanks very much! I'm glad your instrument is working for you. The sz7 to me is just about the best stereo to be had for less than a thousand bucks.
