For a change of pace, M Plan objectives and vertical illuminator were removed
and 160 tube length objectives installed,
but trinocular head corners collide with quintuple RMD objective turret:
Binocular head corners clear, and
Optiphot quintuple nosepiece turrets on eBay have thinner plastic outer grips;
perhaps this turret was intended for inverted frames?

Re: Optiphot head banger
That nosepiece isn't intended for the finite Optiphot series. Rather it's for the infinite semiconductor inspection Optiphot 100 series and above. The dovetail will fit, but the dovetail-RMS mount distance is too far, and will deviate from TL160mm.

Re: Optiphot head banger
So....are there (non- metallurgical) nosepieces that will fit the Optiphot 100, for 160 tube lengths?

Re: Optiphot head banger
It's all the same dovetail, I imagine the optiphot 2 ones should fit fine.
