Leitz Orthoplan/Ortholux II parts for sale
Leitz Orthoplan/Ortholux II parts for sale
The following Leitz parts for sale; will ship from Michigan, free shipping to continental USA. They came off an Ortholux II and I believe they will fit an Orthoplan. The glass on each piece is clean, no damage, no dust.

Pair of Periplan 10x GFM with adjustable collar; latest version with the long adjustment (? 14mm). Photographed in situ in trinocular head (not included, but available from Canada) . $100.00.
Five-hole objective turret on a 1x 'slider'. $100.00
402a condenser with two phase adjustment keys. The lens centering 'screws' work fine as does the diaphragm control. The rotating phase wheel works fine. I was not able to adjust the phase rings in the condenser, everything looks fine and I suspect they have never been centered except at the factory (? need degreasing). The flip top lens also will not 'flip'; it is in the vertical position (I can't see the need to actually 'flip' it except for very low NA objectives; I doubt that it has ever been 'flipped'; hard grease?).
Bottom line: a very clean and useable phase condenser. $300.00.
Circular rotating stage, absolutely perfect; with the micro-adjustment handle intact, top left silver 'rod' (this handle has been repaired with epoxy, an incredibly delicate handle which is usually missing on these stages) $500.00.

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
Eye-pieces and nose-pieces from an Ortholux do not fit an Orthoplan.
Your pricing for the other items is at least ambiguous to put it mildly.

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
There is the same model rotating stage on ebay for $700.00 + $15.95 shipping. It lacks the micro-control "rod"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/125606753324
$500.00 + free shipping for a complete stage seems a fair price.

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
FWIW, probably best to look at "sold" listings to get an idea of offers to fellow enthusiasts.
Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
In a recent post someone asked "What makes a microscope collectible?"
The answer "collectors"
In a similar vein "What are the above parts worth?
The answer "What someone is willing to pay"
So if interested, please make an offer plus what you are willing to pay for shipping. The is no guarantee that I will accept your offer(s).

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
Hi,
The trinocular that is in the photos, is that compatible with Orthoplan?
The condenser would have been of interest, if not for the sticking problems with the flip top and centering parts. Those are not minor issues.

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
I do not know if the head will fit the Orthoplan; an earlier comment said it will not!.
The base diameter is about 41 mm. All glass surfaces are clean.
It is heavy, I suspect shipping costs outside of Canada would be very high.

Re: Leitz Orthoplan parts for sale
Ortholux has a 43 mm dovetail.
Orthoplan has a 50 mm dovetail.
Does not fit.

Re: UPDATE
These parts are from an Ortholux II
The 402a is now fully functional, very clean. Comes with centering keys for the phase rings, work fine. Flip top also works fine.
402a is mounted on a bracket that fits the dovetails on the rotating stage.
402a in now in Canada, I will share (50:50) shipping cost.
All sales final.
