Fruit of a Damaged Apple

This apple was discarded because the side of it was crushed and discolored. I found severe distortion of the cell shape and structure inside the fruit. Here much of the cell forms were unrecognizable. However, near the skin the damage to the form of the cells was much less severe. Cell shapes were nearly intact.
