After about 100 years of existence the german amateur microscopy magazine MIKROKOSMOS stopped to exist and the whole content is available for free at this website:

There are only a few issues missing.

The Mikrokosmos archive is located on the site of a national museum in Austria, I don't know why. The publisher, Elsevier, is located in the Netherlands and most contributers have been german. There is a wealth of information in these magazines and it's also nice to read the very old ones with their reports about the methods that were used in these times to observe a nature that is not much different from today's.
