The other day I added some new (I won't say fresh) grasses and plant material to the mud puddle. I would say the results were significant. The biome in the mudpuddle grew in terms of variety and density. Most of them were the flagellates I have been observing. I did see a medium-sized rotifer. The bacteria population and the population of very small protists has grown as well.
