DSLR Adapter for Nikon DSLRs

If you microscope has a phototube, then you can connect a DSLR camera to the microscope. These adapters come for Canon and Nikon DSLRs. DSLRs have the advantage that they allow for a high image quality and also for the recording of video. Some DSLRs also have a HDMI connector to directly connect to a computer monitor, without the need of a computer. This allows for live viewing and recording. The adapter can also be put into the microscope on the phototube. If it is inserted instead of an eyepiece, then the camera must be supported in this case, however. This DSLR adapter also comes with additional adapter rings that allow it to be used on stereo microscopes, which have a larger eyepiece diameter.

Universal Cell Phone Adapter Mount

The universal cell phone adapter holds the cell phone in front of the microscope eyepiece. When setting up the mount, you have to make sure that the camera lens is centered and also the correct distance between camera and eyepiece is important. I suggest that you get yourself an additional eyepiece and then align everything for faster use. When you want to take pictures, then you can easily put in the adapter

Cell Phone Adapter Mount (for 26mm eyepieces)

This Swift mobile phone adapter fits eyepieces with an external diameter of maximum 26mm. Once aligned, you can quickly slide your mobile phone into the tray of the adapter and everything is set up and ready for use. This adapter will fit the smaller diameter eyepiece that is provided with the Swift 150 microscope, for example. You can also buy the larger 28mm adapter and then make the adapter fit by wrapping some layers of paper or cardboard around the eyepiece. I generally recommend that you buy yourself an additional 10x eyepiece and mount it permanently to the adapter, because it is much easier to exchange the adapter this way (take the eyepiece out of the microscope and drop in the pre-aligned adapter-eyepiece combination.
