I would like to ID what type of cell I have pictured here.
A sample of throat mucus was treated with Tryptan blue and a slide cover was squished down on it.
(I really am new at this and have absolutely no training).
I put it under an eyepiece that is marked 40/0,65 and a 10x eyepiece.
I assume that's 400x. The camera/photograph probably magnifies it a bit more when viewed on the computer screen.
I THINK the images are of Macrophage. But that is my guess.
Anybody know for certain?

Hello and welcome to the forum. You have taken pictures of epithelial cells of the mouth and throat. These come off easily. You might want to read the article in the November 2011 issue of the magazine, where I also talk about them:
