I would like to introduce my self to the forum. My name is Mike. I am based in the UK and operate a new company named 'InformationinImages'.

Rather than repeat what is on the website, I simply invite you to see the exciting new developments that my company supplies and contact me if you would like further details.

After 30+ years experience in this sector, I am particularly excited by the unique NM1 Newton Portable Compact Microscope and the superbly designed Discovery Microscope which is for interactive displays in museums, education and study centres.

Please have look and send me your comments: http://www.informationinimages.com

Thank You

Mike

Hi Mike,

My name is Alex, and as you may come to know of the mistake I made a few weeks ago, I want to make myself clear that I am not here to sell but to solely provide my personal opinion.

Your website provided a lot of useful information and I think less distraction on the background of your website would be beneficial to browsers. My first impression when visiting the website is that has too much colors and it was hard for me to find my focus, which is what you would want to do with your website, to grab your browser to what you want them to focus in the first 5 seconds.

I notice that you are using Wix which is an awesome platform to use, and I would suggest using a theme with less distraction, preferably more white, as most of your images are very colorful. The color of your microscopy images blends into the microscopy background theme image, which makes it hard to see.

I understand your intention of using a microscopy image as a background image, but the purpose of your website is really to convey your message in an

  • easy to read, a clean background (this doesn't mean you only use white, just clean)
  • easy to navigate (it was difficult for me to read the drop down menus)

I hope my opinions will help you with your business.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Mike,

I have had a brief look at your web sight and in the second paragraph on this page is the term micro-photography is used when I am sure it should be photomicrography.  By clicking the "More info" button on the above page and (after reading that) clicking the "More info" on the next page one can find out a little more about the microscope however there is no mention of an eyepiece or the price of the instrument, I think these things specifically, and more depth of information generally would be helpful.

Best of luck.

Peter.
