Hi Guy's,

Here are the first pics and videos from my new Omax 40X-2000X Built-in 3.0MP Digital Compound LED Microscope and my 5-80X binocular Zoom Stereo Microscope+0.5X Auxiliary Lens+56 LED Ring Light.

The compound scope has a built in 3.0 mp camera but I am not to happy with the quality of the pics it takes, here is one from the built in cam on the compound scope

This is a piece of random flotsam in pond water

unknown-pond

it is decent but I bought a separate cam to use with the stereo scope it is a 3.2MP USB Digital Camera,I used it with the compound scope as well and I like the picture and video quality much better.

Here are some pics and vids that I shot today

This is the head of a freshwater flat worm at 100x

flatworm-head

This is the eye of the worm at 400x

flat-worm-eye

These vids are of what I believe to be the worms circulatory system

these where taken with the compund scope at 100 and 400 x

This pic was taken of a small desicated baby lizard that was around a half inch in length it was taken with the stereo scope.

lizard

The lizard pic was 11 images focus stacked with combinezp

Let me know what you guys think.

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

first photos are always a big moment. Congratulations.

l like the "head of a freshwater flat worm".

Your last one, the dessicated lizard could probably use more illumination during the shoot,

or/and a little judicious manipulation with a graphics editor like photoshop or similar.

You should probably post your next ones in Photographs and Videos

Hi Bruce,

I agree with 75RR.  Very good for a first effort.  Images 2, 4, & 5 are very good indeed. I agree with you about the much superior quality of the new camera.  If I may suggest something, I would say try to use lower magnifications so that your field of view is larger, to give more context to the images (but that is just one person's opinion).
