Hi Nikki,
Not a bad image at all quite good actually, congratulations, do some more
Can you tell us something about the microscope and which objective you used, how you made slide.
Did you crop the image and did you mount the cell phone on the microscope or was it free hand.
Molehill
Hello Molehill. :)
I currently have a "Home Science" microscope, so nothing special. I am looking to getting a better one in the near future as this one is beginning to frustrate me.
The objective I used for this specific photograph is 40x.
All I did to make the slide was cut a small section of the tip of the petunia petal with a small bit of water on the slide, then added the petal with a cover slip over top – Just a simple preparation.
The image is not cropped at all or edited and the cellphone was free hand. :)

What "little things" are you referring to?
Ah sorry, I was referring to the longer object coming out of the top. To me it just looked like a filament and anther but it's far too small and wasn't in the center but rather scattered around the edges that weren't cut during preparation.

Hi Nikki,
The filament across and projecting above the petal looks, to me, like a fungal mycelium with a spore case on the end. Might the petal have been moldy?
Peter.
Hello Peter. :)
No, the flowers weren't moldy looking at all.
Hi Nikki,
That is a glandular hair. A kind of trichome. Since it is on a Petunia petal I expect it to be a gland that produces the oily substance that gives it the smooth velvety feel. See also; http://www.vcbio.science.ru.nl…..ow/PL0175/
Trichomes are a great microscopy subject, as they are also used in determining a plants species. (for example in hederas)
